Slimey Crud Run - This is a midwestern motorcycle run that unofficially marks the beginning and end of the motorcycling season. It happens twice a year the 1st Sunday in May and the 1st Sunday in October. The weather is quite variable during those times a year, but that is not where the name comes from. Rumor has it that Peter Egan (famous motorcycle writer) is part of a club in the Madison Wi., area called the "Slimey Crud Motorcycle Gang" and they are the ones who started it all.
Spring 2005 - During this run, I met up with a friend of mine (John Podlasik) on Saturday afternoon and met up with my brother Mike and Matt Pahlke in Genoa City. From there we took off to Delafield and got a room for the night. The next day we did the "run" in rain, sleet and even some snow. It was cold, but a good time was still had by all (I think).
